I knew from the summer time that the friends I sat and talked to at breakfast would have a connection with me and we would stay friends once school started. I can even remember the first time I met or talked to some of them.

Starting with my now roommate Charnessa (top right), I had seen her a few times in the dorms but at first didn’t talk to her. Then morning after morning she would come to breakfast with some of the cutest clothes and hair accessories. I though she was so cool with her purple hair. Once the school year actually started we became better friends and even roommates our second semester. She has been such a great friend and her family is so warm and sweet. She is so down to earth and amazing.

With Don’dre (top left), hmmm well the first time I ever saw him was at the placement tests. He was sitting against the hallway along with the rest of the students and he looked like he didn’t want to be there, trust me none of us did, it was pretty early. Then I remember seeing him at the OSP orientation and on our first day of class I noticed we had all our classes together. Well soon enough we started talking to each other and became really good friends. He is so much fun to hang with and is up for anything.

Now Mike (bottom right), well I started talking to him because he was friends with Don’dre and roommates in the summer and they hung out as a pair. We talked in class once about the crazy amount of homework we had and soon after that we sat with each other at breakfast. He always had a smile on. He was one of the only boys I hung out with along with Don’dre during the summer. We formed a bond and became comfortable with each other. We have no problem being silly and “extra”.

Carla! (bottom left). She has been one of the main reasons I have been able to come out of my shell. I remember she was always late for our fist class of the day. At that time I didn’t talk to her at all but I was afraid that she might get kicked out of class. Thankfully she did not. Towards the end of our first semester we got to know each other more and had the same work studies job at the OSP office. We became close really quick and we shared so much with each other. She knows how to have a great time and I always feel safe with her.

Those are only the few of the great people I have been fortunate enough to meet and grow close to. There are so many other I want to mention so this is only part one.
